Delivering a new intranet solution

Amrop advises the world's most dynamic, agile organisations on identifying and positioning leaders for what's next.

The Task

We were tasked with creating a new intranet for Amrop using Igloo. Their existing intranet was a Drupal platform that was maintained by an external development company. The platform was outdated, unresponsive on mobile, and needed an uplift; the overall company engagement was poor. Amrop was looking for a cloud-based solution that was both intuitive and non-technical from a content management perspective.

the strategy

Initial meetings were held to develop an understanding of the solution's complex nature and to provide insight into the culture of the business. With a plethora of notes taken, we set about creating the site structure around a well-defined design brief based on Amrop's global identity.

We facilitated Amrop's work with ANDI by producing bespoke widgets and implementing unique features into the site that made the user's experience smoother and faster.

the challenges

The challenges in the project were detailed and complex. The new intranet needed to improve collaboration and knowledge sharing for all Amrop's partner firms and stand up to the large scale of the company, which has 73 offices in 47 countries. ANDI also needed to reflect a significant step forward for the company, showing the board of Directors a return on investment and a return on objectives.

the results

The intranet delivered on all Amrop's requirements. The additional functionality and customisable elements have proved invaluable to the business. Amrop, as a global partnership community, has seen increased engagement across the community due to the new Igloo/ANDI solution.
