The Task
In 2017 Cavotec started an internal transformation program. Integral to this transformation was a more flexible and accessible intranet that would improve collaboration. Cavotec had been using SharePoint and couldn't communicate important news efficiently or engage global employees through a single, mobile-responsive platform. Our task was to build this new intranet solution, with communications as a top priority.
The Strategy
We had needs-analysis sessions with project stakeholders across all areas of the organisation to understand their requirements. These sessions ensured the new intranet would address the objectives of each business unit, and the entire company too.
We developed a unique site structure and CSS design, tailored to Cavotec's specific needs and brand identity. The solution also includes training to take advantage of all the platform's features.

The Challenges
With a long list of issues with Cavotec's SharePoint intranet, the initial planning meetings were extensive. The new intranet required a user friendly experience on both desktop and mobile. Therefore considerations had to be made around the layout and navigation. Our collaborative planning resulted in a bespoke solution that vastly improved on the previous SharePoint system, and provided an informative and enjoyable experience on a variety of devices.
The Results
Cavotec launched the new digital workplace, 'CavoNet', to accolades from around the organisation. With a first-rate experience on both desktop and mobile and an emphasis on delivering timely communications within its global team; CavoNet ensures users can find what they need quickly and easily.
