Tewkesbury Culture

Two Rivers Converge Festival

Mosaique were briefed to help develop and bring to life the first ever Two Rivers Converge, a festival where creativity, heritage and climate connect.

Tewkesbury is sat where the River Avon and the River Severn meet. This unique meeting point was where Tewkesbury came into being and was the inspiration for the festival. Two Rivers Converge offers a platform to celebrate Tewkesbury’s incredible heritage and exceptional natural environment.

The vision for the festival was to start as a small stream which will grow year on year. Tewkesbury Culture needed a design that would not only complement the existing logo and map illustrations they had commissioned but it needed legs to grow and develop without feeling dated or out of keeping with Tewkesbury’s other heritage projects.

We developed a set of clean hand drawn line illustrations to represent each category in the festival. We combined these with a set of geometric shapes representing nature - the main theme of the festival. Alongside the illustrations we created a complimentary colour palette and pattern style. We designed these components to join together and tell the story of the Two Rivers festival.

We worked closely with Tewkesbury Culture to deliver a creative suite of design literature. Used both to promote the event and tell the story of the Two Rivers Festival. We oversaw the entire process from concept through to print, enabling us to guarantee a high quality outcome and reducing stress for the client.

Final delivery included a full design suite of illustrations and assets to create individual patterns across brand collateral. As the festival grows, the designs can support the changing needs of the festival brand. Printed delivery of tear pad maps and mesh banners. Alongside a suite of social media and advertising assets to promote individual events.

Across the festival period, we created and managed a multi platform social advertising campaign. The ads drew attention to the hero event, Gaia and the festival event schedule as a whole. This included campaigns across Meta and Snapchat, using a mix of bespoke graphics and a short promotional animation. The results showed a strong reaction from the festival’s target audience, exceeding industry benchmarks across all metrics and garnering positive engagement from visitors.
