JUMPING ONBOARD

The Robin is a local on-demand bus service bringing accessible travel access to service users in the North Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean. We were brought onboard by Gloucestershire County Council to create an encompassing brand message that could encapsulate the purpose of The Robin. An opportunity to provide better awareness of the local service, with the goal of converting North Cotswolds residents to give it a try.

DATA ON-DEMAND

Hopping onto a detailed discovery phase, it was important to get a 360° understanding of exactly where the service was being used and how we could transform the service into something accessible and relatable for The Robin’s varied target audiences. Our data led approach included an in-depth review of stakeholder viewpoints, local surveys, area demographics, competitor analysis, observations and a plan for communications moving forward.

CONNECTING THE COTSWOLDS

Using our insights, we created an engaging tone of messaging and campaign style to act as a launchpad for future messaging and branded assets. By creating a friendly and reliable brand messaging we could empower residents to travel independently with trust in local services. Future communications have been designed to educate local residents on the services, how to use them and how The Robin could positively benefit their day to day experience of living in a rural area.

DROPPING OFF THE ASSETS

The end result was a range of bespoke branded multi-media assets that encapsulated the service’s friendly look and feel, making The Robin strongly recognisable for Gloucestershire residents. We delivered a range of digital and print assets including social templates and short video animations, alongside pick up point asset packs which included posters, flyers, tent cards and pick up point window stickers for regular pick up locations across rural villages. Plus the design of a branded map to clearly delineate the boundaries of the service’s operation.
